About
Best Club Hits is an independent editorial project about electronic music: the genres, the rooms they are played in, the people who play them, and the events worth travelling for.
Why this site exists
Most writing about club music falls into one of two categories. Either it is a press release rewritten as an article, or it assumes you already know everything and are only reading to have your taste confirmed.
We are trying to write the third thing: guides that explain how something actually works, in plain language, for someone who is genuinely curious. That means explaining what a genre sounds like rather than listing which labels released it, and telling you what a festival is like to attend rather than repeating the lineup.
How the guides are put together
Every guide here is written for this site. We do not republish, spin or translate other people's articles.
Where we describe something factual — where an event is held, how a scene is organised, what a piece of equipment does — we aim to describe only what we can stand behind. Where something changes every year, such as dates, prices and line-ups, we say so and send you to the official source rather than printing a number that will be wrong in three months.
If we get something wrong, we want to know. Corrections sent through the contact page are read and acted on.
What we do not do
We do not sell tickets, and we are not affiliated with any festival, venue, promoter or label. Names are used for identification and commentary only.
We do not accept payment for coverage. If that ever changes, any paid or sponsored content will be labelled as such, clearly, on the item itself.
Advertising
This site is funded by advertising. Ads are served by third-party networks and are kept separate from editorial decisions — advertisers have no input into what we write or how we write it. Details of the data involved are in our privacy policy.
